Northeast Heather Society

The Northeast chapter was founded in 1986 by heather enthusiasts in New England and New Jersey.  It is the oldest chapter of the North American Heather Society, and remains the only chapter on the East Coast to this day.  As with all NAHS chapters, membership is not restricted to any specific geographic region.

Meetings offer a mix of garden visits, knowledgeable speakers, slide presentations and plant sales and are held seasonally, with an annual conference in September.
A quarterly publication called "Heather Notes" focuses on the home garden and is full of information and tips on how to select, grow and propagate heaths and heathers.
