Oregon Heather Society

Founded in September 2002, this is the youngest chapter of the North American Heather Society.  The OHS promotes fellowship among Oregon heather enthusiasts and educates Oregon gardeners about heather cultivation. The society meets at least four times a year, at various locations in western Oregon. Programs cover all aspects of heathers and heather gardening, plus garden and nursery tours and special events. The OHS newsletter is entitled  “Heather and Yon”.

In 2004, OHS members planted a heather garden at the Cottage Grove Community Hospital and actively work to maintain that garden.
