Slide program "B" (revised)
Heathers: A Macro View
A survey of the various hardy heaths and heathers that may be grown outdoors in
many parts of North America, plus a few photos of the glorious Cape heaths, more
suitable on this continent for conservatory than garden except in north-coastal
California. This revision contains many of the wonderful close-up photos from
the program that the late Art Dome originated, but it has been completely
reorganized and updated with additional photos of gardens, nurseries and newer
cultivars. The new script by Ella May Wulff "leafs out" the plants behind the
pretty flower faces so that this program is now of interest to both heather
growers and general horticultural audiences.

Slide
program "D" Heather in the Landscape
This 80 slide program was created by Dee Daneri with photography by Dee Daneri
and Tom Drake. This program begins by comparing some of the more conventional
and/or formal type gardens containing deciduous shrubs and herbaceous plants
with those that predominantly feature Heaths and Heathers. It also illustrates
how heather gardens require less work and effort in the long run. There are many
beautiful photographs of heather gardens in North America and Europe. It shows
ideas as to how one might create a garden utilizing the advantages of using the
Heaths and Heathers for enjoyment throughout the seasons.
